Oct 23, 2016 I liked the episode. It was depressing as f---, but it met the expectations I had for it. I hated the drawn out scenes leading up to the reveal, but after it happened, the episode pretty much hit a stride. Negan may be the savior this show's needed for a while, no pun intended. The Governor was a pretty huge let down to me in comparison to his role in the comics, but Negan really kept me intrigued in every scene he was in.... JDM is a beast, I wasn't sure if he was a good fit for the role when it was first announced. It's trippy cause even though Rick is the "good guy", he had this coming for a long time. He's grown more and more ruthless, and Negan is just a reminder of what else is out there. I hope he's as sadistic as he was in the comics. I wonder if he'll have the same fascination with Carl. Spoiler: Comic Spoiler In the comics, Carl snuck on to their supply truck, and waited til they showed up at the Savior's base then started poppin' the AK at Negan's men. Negan just laughs, gives him a tour, and makes him take off his eye patch and sing him a song lol. He's f---in' crazy.
Oct 23, 2016 This episode was nuts. I wasn't expecting two deaths. They're totally broken as a group rn. I've never read the comics so I have no idea how neagan gets killed but I'm looking forward to that moment. I had low expectations for this episode after that s-----y season finale but d--- they delivered.
Oct 23, 2016 Spoiler: Comic Spoiler Yeah, Negan's still alive. Last I heard he killed another HUGE antagonist in the series that hasn't made it's way to the show. Negan lives due to Rick imprisoning him instead of killing him. Kinda ironic. Seems like Negan really made a point in the comics, to the extent that Rick felt like he had to alter his philosophy regarding the value of a human life lol. It's crazy how many people are still alive in the comics, and dead in the show, and vice versa. Though they really drifted back towards the source material with the two deaths in this episode. They were very close together in the comic series, although I believe it was Dwight who killed that ginger MFer.
Oct 23, 2016 I feel it was way better than most of Season 6. I always think of Glenn's "death scene" in season 6, and how he really just hid under a dumpster, then I think that dumpster was really symbolic. It represented the quality of the overall season lol.
Oct 23, 2016 Lol the dumpster scene and "theyre messing with the wrong people" are definitely bottom 2 moments in the show
Oct 23, 2016 They actually did. There's a version where he says "They're f---in' with the wrong people."
Oct 24, 2016 Welp Thought it was a good ep, just wish I hadn't ruined it beforehand by checking out the fan theories this week and wish I didn't know about the comics
Oct 24, 2016 Great episode but pissed Glenn died. He was my favorite character from the start :/ at least his death was epic af though. Had he just died by that dumpster, that would have been so lame.
Oct 24, 2016 At least now that we've seen the episode, it makes sense why they didn't show who Neagan killed at the end of the season finale. We wouldn't have got the whole episode of Neagan breaking down Rick.
Oct 24, 2016 Man that was so hard to watch. But I'm glad the show has its balls back. The series is definitely going to get interesting again. The group is the most broken it's ever been. JDM is f---ing amazing btw. So much better than David Morrissey as the Governor (who they f----- up badly from the comics).
