Apr 27, 2017 lotta grills, lean, southern accent, slang, lot of abbreviations etc. u get slurred speech n s--- and because of the focus more on like melodies and the like less is there in the enunciation department and that's where you get the "mumbling" sound
Apr 27, 2017 lol idk where this ridiculous notion comes from that people essentially just don't "get it" or some s--- like that if they describe the style as mumble rap. like no, that's such a f---ing copout and is no way an argument against the terms accuracy trap =/= the whole of hip hop tho it's a subgenre i'm not labeling all of hip hop as being filled with a bunch of mumbling rappers and that's it, so the comparison doesn't work. it doesn't have s--- to do with understanding them it's the difference in sound/style from other kinds of hip hop and the type of production that usually comes along with it that that's what i and a s--- load of other people think they sound like and we're not wrong lol btw ur taking this as if i don't like any of it either which is not the case when my 5 most played hip hop albums from this year include HNDRXX, Future and Culture
Apr 27, 2017 Hello! Great album and happy to be seeing it get the praise it deserves. I am still trying to figure out the meaining of playboi Carti and the many levels to this album. I think I have figured out the basic message of this concept album and I think it's very introspective. Glad you enjoyed the album as much as me. Cheers!
