Nov 20, 2017 said it before and i'll say it again this song is not the type of song anyone should've expected to be #1 for very long, and anyone who thought it could stay on top is a moron. this is a specific and personal song between eminem and his fans. any of you worrying about it's chart position are lucky that it even lasted this long. this type of song isn't a chart topper (even without the flaws) also taking this as any indication of how the album/subsequent singles will perform or how "done" he/his career is<<<<<<<<<
Nov 20, 2017 is it 100% the lead single though? it feels like it could be a promotional single. like how Survival was a MMLP2 single but it was out before hand. or Crack a Bottle for Relapse
Nov 20, 2017 Crack A Bottle was put on Relapse close to its release though. Em said he didn't know if it was going to be on Relapse or 50s album. I don't remember the reasoning as to why they ended up putting it on Relapse though. I assume because We Made You wasn't huge and Crack A Bottle was getting played everywhere. The label probably wanted that song on there to hopefully boost his sales for his comeback album.
Nov 20, 2017 because even if it was considered promotional or street, it is still the leading first single these terms means nothing
Nov 20, 2017 Post Malone - rockstar #2 in Russian streaming chart right now (#1 in USA) Eminem - Walk On Water #40 in Russian streaming chart right now (#45 in USA) this is FLOP. confirmed.
Nov 20, 2017 Everyone is surpised a knockoff Macklemore song by a 50 year old dude isn't burning up the charts?
Nov 20, 2017 Speaking of Beyonce, she debuts on the Hot 100 as featured on Eminem's "Walk on Water," the chart's highest arrival this week at No. 14. The rap ballad opens on Digital Song Sales at No. 2 (64,000) and Streaming Songs at No. 15 (18.3 million). http://www.billboard.com/articles/c...camila-cabello-havana-imagine-dragons-thunder Top 10 Lose Yousrelf, Crack A Bottle, Not Afraind, LTWYL, The Monster #1 Without Me, Smack That #2 Berzerk #3 The Real Slim Shade, Cleanin Out My Closet, I Need A Doctor, Lighters #4 My Band, Just Lose It, Shake That #6 Rap God #7 When I'm Gone, Forever #8 Top 20 Mockingbird #11 You Don't Know #12 Walk On Water (ft. BEYONCE) #14
Nov 20, 2017 Is that the main chart that counts everything into positioning? If so...Jesus Christ. #14 is terrible. I know what the purpose of this song was but not cracking top 10 is surprising.
Nov 20, 2017 "Crack a Bottle" reached the number one position on the Hot 100 due to sales of 418,000 downloads. (#1) "We Made You" sold 167,000 downloads in its first week (#9) "Not Afraid" sold 380,000 digital copies in its first week (#1) "Berzerk" sold 362,000 downloads in its first week in the US (#3) "Walk On Water" ft. BEYONCE 64,000 downloads in its first week in the US (#14) In 2009, everyone was really waiting for Eminem's return. In 2017, no one is worried about him. He released the middle track and many simply ignored the fact that this is his first solo album in 4 years. In 2009, everything was different. Eminem was a completely different person.
Nov 20, 2017 Can you stop posting your hating against Em? What's your point? Relax Eminem is still the most successful rapper of 2010s and f--- off.
Nov 20, 2017 It only sold 64,000 across all platforms where you can buy music...? That sounds off. whatever second single he drops will be the one that people cling to. Every great artist has a dud. Generally, more than one dud.
