    The people randomly criticizing drake are only mad because TPAB is a blemish on what could've been a flawless legacy

    lol, tpab is the main reason for kendrick being one of the most decorated and respected artists of the decade.

    if anything you're just mad because your favorite artist will probably never drop an album with such a very high level of praise.

    if you mean he made an album that critics can't criticize because of how good it is then yeah, he literally made the perfect album.

    Kendrick was smart about one thing

    He made an album with "deep" content so people who don't want to actually enjoy music think it's automatically the greatest thing ever

    Real hip-hop is only underground and non-mainstream fake garbage. So let's do the math:

    :nahgirl: = Mainstream

    Mainstream = :trash:
    therefore

    :nahgirl: = :trash:

    lol.. With these universal accolades you can't deny Kendrick's prominence honestly. There's a reason it's getting this kind of praise because it is a record of abundant realization of potential, but also tremendous heart and soul. Calling it a "critic bait" is actually laughable, if anything it just shows how amazing the album is but to justify such a statement, wouldn't the bait only snatch critics if it was top quality anyway? I enjoy my more than moderate share of Young Thug, Future, Migos, etc. type artists, and I look for their growth from project to project as well, but Kendrick is hitting a different kind of streak similar to Kanye a few years ago but in a different ballpark altogether.

    Part of this post was just to field the fact that all these accolades are well deserved, but it slowly turned into a stream of consciousness that addresses why this album and T&Y are the only two albums i'm really still playing all the way through in 2016. Alot of excellent music came out last year across all fronts, but T&Y and TPAB are the only two essentials imo. This one growing with every listen.

    In short, and in a way that is hopefully as unbiased as possible, i see the opposing argument, but i really really hope Kendrick sweeps this grammy season. This album is excellent and he deserves everything coming to him.

    No, A perfect album doesn't get 99% of it's praise because of it's concept. A perfect album is something like Mystic Stylez, Aquemeni, Capital Punishment or Ridin' Dirty

    I disagree

    But I like and respect you since you actually explain your reasoning unlike 90% of people who blindly criticize

    thats the thing though, the album isn't even deep, most of the praise is about the music and the musical composition of the album.

    If Drake met homeless Jesus, I'm sure he would've actually donated money instead of being selfish like Kendrick
