May 19, 2017 Work/go out/play soccer/watching movies I drink like once a week other than that dont poison my body with drugs and other crap
May 19, 2017 Fulfill my responsibilities as an upstanding member of society. Shitpost on an Eminem fan forum. Listen to music, watch movies, watch sports. Write and read stuff. Go do some physical activity as an excuse to listen to music. Keep an eye out for girls who might touch my peen. Idk, get a hobby.
May 19, 2017 This is why I just smoke weed cus the harder stuff is a trap. Work out, listen to music, kick it wit your homies, call a female up. Just do the things you like that aren't drugs
May 19, 2017 I drank 2-5 times a week from the time I was 15 until I was like 23 (aka my last year of college) when I started only going out one night a week for the most part. There were peaks occasionally when I'd go out a few times a week since then, but since I turned 26 especially I haven't really been drinking much. I can count the number of times I've drank since the new year on one hand, and I haven't drank in about two months now except for once when visiting family. Right now I work a normal 40-hour-a-week job, I'm doing freelance editing a novel, and I'm working on launching a website (which has included writing thousands of words in the past few weeks). A big portion of the fun in drinking for me was going out to meet girls, but I've been in a relationship for over three years now. When my time is occupied with other things, being hungover just isn't worth it to me. Weed has always been an hour-before-bed type thing for me, so I've never had that problem affecting my productivity. I usually just smoke and read for a little bit then fall asleep. I haven't been smoking for the past few days either since I've been sick. Anyway: -Read -Write -Go to the Gym -Cook -Catch up on TV shows I've been too busy to watch (Fargo, Leftovers, Better Call Saul. Just caught up on all three today since I'm home sick). -Grab coffee and bs with friends in the morning instead of grabbing drinks with friends and bs at night -Find a project you want to do and do it I've been where you are where you're so used to being f----- up you get bored when you're not. You just need to find your calling to fill that void. I don't regret most of the time I spent getting f----- up because there were some really fun times to be had, but I do wish I could take like 25% of that time when nothing of note happened and put it toward my actual goals.
May 19, 2017 I guess, long story short, it wasn't really a conscious decision for me to stop drinking, my goals just shifted toward other things as I got older. Still fun to get fucky for friends' birthdays and such.
May 19, 2017 I've never smoked anything in my life, and never had more than a sip of any kind of alcohol. I do pretty much what everyone else has said. Watch good shows/movies, play good games etc. I love going outside. Taking my dog on walks, going hiking, playing sports, swimming and cliff diving and s--- in the summer. Really just anything that allows me to enjoy a sunny day, I'm down for.
May 19, 2017 I would recommend the gym as regular exercise will make other things much easier. It is a b---- to start though and to maintain but it's worth it. Just need to figure out a schedule and stick to it
May 20, 2017 Music can be if Skip pursues his producing aspirations. But agreed on the other two for sure. They're merely pastimes not actual hobbies.
May 20, 2017 That HS-College phase was hard getting out of, getting f----- up from weed & liquor on the weekends was a great feeling and living without that the first couple weeks was a bit unsettling. I myself quit weed (made it to 2 years without rolling one up!) and my drinking habit sort of came back for a bit after a recent tragedy last year but finding something to be dedicated is a good start; whether it's going to do excercise (going for a run or to the gym), finding something music related (producing or you can be a great Dj since you have great taste) or a job that demands your attention and be passionate about subconsciously make you seek lifestyle changes. It's a gradual thing and doesn't happen overnight, but like I always say live and enjoy your surroundings. Life isn't supposed to be short but being young is, make it memorable.
May 20, 2017 i just eat, sleep, smoke cigs, drink pop, listen to music, take an online class in game design, code in C#, work on a game in unity, animate/model/texture s--- in blender, work on music, play games on my phone, take pokemon go walks etc.
