BoB possibly had the biggest fall off.
Great start to the decade. Had some good songs Airplanes II especially.

I enjoyed Wiz at the start too. But he fell off after Rolling Papers

The fact that you use the term "mumble rap" in the first place shows to me you haven't spent enough time with a lot of the artists you're criticizing. My problem with the term "mumble rap" is that it's a disparaging term used to talk down to a group of diverse artists who rap in a certain (often southern) dialect and use copious amounts of regional slang. Kodak Black and Chief Keef and Young Thug sound nothing alike and if memory serves right have never even collaborated aside from a single Young Thug song that he gave to Kodak who pasted a verse on it, but people all use the term "mumble rap" to describe them. When people say "mumble rap" they just mean "rap I don't like because it doesn't fit inside the criteria I made up."

Every era has a bunch of artists that sound the same and bite each other. We just forget most of them because they don't stand the test of time, and now music is so easily consumable with streaming that it's much easier to hear many different artists.

Back in the day people who hated rap heard Nas, Wu-Tang, Biggie, Mobb Deep and said all sounds the same cuz it was grimy new york rap and they were offended by them talking about murder and drugs and said it has no value.

What is 'real' hip hop? Does it mean the rapper has to have a certain accent, rap only about certain topics and rap on a specific type of beat with a specific type of flow? Are you saying that the artists I listed shouldn't be classified as hip hop?

If you're talking about where hip hop originally comes from are you referring to the block parties of the 70s and 80s that were just about having a good time? Should rappers all strive to sound like Kurtis Blow? Run-DMC? Or is it specifically defined to that era in the 90s where some rappers who focused on creating very heady densely lyrical music became popular for a while?

Absolutely true, you are entirely entitled your own opinion. But like I said, I think you're a bit out of touch. You've said so yourself. Your list of albums of the decade (in the other thread) dont have any albums from after 2015. Hip hop became the most popular genre in the US in 2017. Don't you think you might have a bit of a skewed perspective on what 'real' hip hop is?

I mean I wouldn't have Logic anywhere near my top 10 of the decade but I wouldn't be surprised to see his name in other people's lists. But Wayne and 50? 50 dropped like 1 mixtape in 2014 and besides a few moments here and there Wayne has been trashed for most of this decade.
