BIG didn't go over 20 syllables with that verse. Some of those rhymes are a bit of a stretch but it's still very impressive nonetheless. Especially since it's one of his best storytelling tracks. The only other song I can think of that combines GOAT rhyming and GOAT storytelling is Lose Yourself

He had 20 syllables in the first two lines. The image you showed me doesn't even separate sounds in syllables, it has single consonants highlighted individually which doesn't make sense. It's a huge reach.

Again, these rhymes are not alligned. They don't have the same intonation and don't allign properly on beat; they're off-beat rhymes. The fact they're not in the same intonation shows they're not even intentional.

Fair enough. It's still an impressive verse though.

I'm not sure, both have 3 personal classics for me, Eminem has 1 terrible project and 3 mediocre-good ones. Jay has a lot of mediocre projects.

Eminem is more skilled than Jay-Z when it comes to rhyming and coming up with flows. He's a more diverse lyricist as well. I would say Eminem is better than Jay-Z but both are pretty close.

That's of all time, of course. Jay-Z is the better rapper nowadays.

JAY-Z has 3 classics, 2-3 good ones, The rest mediocre

Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and In My Lifetime Vol. 1. Those are personal classics though. Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint and The Black Album are his "classics".

Also, people mistake skill and album quality. Your album can be good, it doesn't make you a good rapper. MBDTF is better than MMLP2 by MILES, but even though I think the rapping on MMLP2 is really forced, it's better than the rapping on MBDTF. If you only care about album quality, you're discussing musicianship, not rapping prowess.
