Jan 6, 2016 like klp musician said, TPAB is objectively speaking goat album, it has some of the best compositions of the past 20 years but its an album for smart people. Like you don't have to be smart to understand it, but you'll need to have some serious musical knowledge to understand the legit praise.
Jan 6, 2016 Like, best jazz elements you've heard in rap? Surely you don't mean jazz overall. I'm sorry, I just can't comprehend anybody picking this over GKMC.
Jan 6, 2016 he probably does. Just so you know, the best jazz album of the past 5 years is The Epic by kamasi w. and you know what? kamasi is the one who worked on tpab.. and you know what? even he admitted that his best work was on TPAB. it looks like you were just implying that it doesn't have some of the best jazz elements because you don't listen to jazz at all.
Jan 6, 2016 Can you explain to me the relation between jazz history and hood politics? Oh and also please link me to one of your Young Thug reviews. f---ing loser
Jan 6, 2016 No, the best jazz I've heard in both hip hop and jazz music. kamasi washington is a saxo genius man. I'm not the only one to say that though, many jazz artists went to say it had some of the best saxo of the past 10 years.
Jan 6, 2016 they're for 2 different publics. However it doesn't make them equally good, from a pure objective standpoint, tpab is better. Which album you enjoy the most though? thats up to you, it all depends on your tastes... but gkmc is nowhere near as good as tpab, quality wise.
Jan 6, 2016 This is better than anything on TPAB. I refuse to take anybody serious who thinks otherwise.
Jan 6, 2016 and thats why tpab is goat, like stevie wonder said, you can try to find flaws in it but you'll never find them.
Jan 6, 2016 The jazz on TPAB doesn't even compare to whats on any of Tribe's first 3 albums or the records on Illmatic
Jan 6, 2016 anything on tpab is twice as good as art of the peer pressure and it used to be my fav song
Jan 6, 2016 funny because it is better. the jazz on tribe's first albums was more accessible, it was basic jazz for people not used to this sound. The jazz on tpab is pure and more complex, more underground and better.
