Apr 15, 2016 Notorious thug freestyle The video is infamous on the web now, but is it trash or misunterstood genius?
Apr 15, 2016 ive been mesmerized by this freestyle since it dropped. he doesnt miss a beat, does every single ad lib the final version would need, switches his flow multiple times, and emotes perfectly and he's clearly not trying at the same time. when this dropped i legit watched it once a day for like a week.
Apr 15, 2016 Ive seen a lot of ppl say they f--- with thug but this is trash I think its a cool look into how he works. You can see how he slowly merges with the beat.. He starts just mumbling sum random flows and testing out sum harmonies. By the 3rd minute he's all the way inside the pocket pickin out dope flows. Im convinced he woulda came out with some real fire in like 10 minutes. Problem is this s--- just isnt presentable
Apr 15, 2016 its completely presentable if you're not an idiot and put it in context i honestly can and have listened to this unmixed and unfinished and enjoyed it immensely just listened again and this is just magic to me lol little lady right there cant see she surprised ...surprised look up... YSL thats an angel in the sky
Apr 15, 2016 I mean yeah i can def enjoy it for what it is, just like most of his fans probably can. This isnt winning him any new fans tho. Which i think is like the main point of freestyling on radio.
Apr 15, 2016 most uncompromising artist of our generation if we're being honest. dont think he cares. literally told lyor cohen to f--- off when he said he had to revist his songs over time and try to "make them better" lol has a better sense of his sound, at the moment, than anyone else alive
Apr 15, 2016 first time i watched i was high as s--- and just mesmerized lol. just starin at the screen in disbelief. didnt even cross my mind that people would hate on it but then...just a couple days later..it started going viral w a heavy negative campaign behind it
Apr 15, 2016 s--- was the worst when that vine with random clips went viral. So easy to take this out of context and pass it off as thug at his best
Apr 15, 2016 A friend of mine sent me the link to this freestyle two days ago, saying "yeah young thugs alright but his freestyles s--- lol" Needless to say he was wrong, and we don't speak anymore
Apr 15, 2016 I mean it's trash if you're expecting a pre-written "freestyle" like most other rappers drop on these shows. @Narsh you've seen Tha Carter Documentary right? This almost identical to Wayne's process. Like @El Ares said he was about 10 min away from creating a hit. 2:58. s---, forgot the 1st one is him laying down his Swagga Like Us verse
Apr 15, 2016 lol no he literally doesnt the issue is that the same session he makes throwaways he makes songs like Flaws. Or The Promise. or Makaveli. it's his camps job to curate those releases, and they've done an awful job of for the most part. thats part of what made Alex so important, and now he's not even there.
