    I liked the first season quite a bit—I watched like three eps of season 2 I think and just never finished it, don’t think there was any particular reason why. It didn’t grip me as much as season 1 (at least those first few eps) but was still entertaining. Ima get back to it at some point (but maybe after my trip).

    I love Narcos. The first season is the best, but I don't know how you didn't watch at least the 2nd season to see the Escobar storyline end. The 3rd season is Cali cartel which was good, but not as good as the Escobar seasons. The Mexico one was really good too, it's a prequel since they basically started the main drug trade. If you didn't like the first season you won't like the rest.

    I just applied for a passport and my god that was the easiest government-related thing I've ever had to do. Literally zero people waiting in line in the building. All I needed was my filled out form, my passport from when I was a minor, and my ID/a photocopy of my ID (oh and a check).

    Why is everything else so f----- and full of red tape? You'd think they'd be a lot more hoops to jump through for something like this esp compared to f---ing around at the DMV and s---.

    Bruh I got asthma, started drinking at age 15, and based upon my gut's history am 100% gonna get montezuma's revenge. if they harvest my organs they're gonna be severely disappointed.

    Yeah unfortunately a lot of places south of the border I'm looking at I've been advised to avoid wandering by myself at night lol. Though it sounds like Mexico City is pretty diverse and has a lot of foreigners working in the city so I won't really look out of place.

    Naturally the metropolis known as Guadalajara (s/o Thug) has a lot of sightseeing since it's one of the 3 biggest cities in Mexico. Puerto Vallarta is secretly the best resort besides Cabo if your looking into that, has an airport so it's accessible. My folks are from this small city named Mazamitla, very tranquil and hidden between mountains/forrests--there's this cool eco-tour that shows around the area. Just stay clear of that place at night unfortunately :emoji_pensive:

    If you end up seeing Mexico City I truly recommend stopping by at Teotihuacan if you can, there's tons of buses/tours that take you there, those pyramids are a sight to behold!

    So much to do in Mexico City, only went there once and I barely scratched the surface to say the least. The toxic smog in the air>>>>
    Come to the state of Jalisco if you want to see our true culture

    stayed with a friend in MC. Hostels in Tulum are great but it in other places its really just luck of the draw, some are pretty shabby others are amazing. Plus they're always the cheapest option. Airbnbs probably a good bet around the developed areas, not sure you'll even find any in the more rural parts
