Mar 16, 2017 This masterpiece gets better every time I listen to it Used to hate on it, now I believe it is kendrick's best work. Even for a lot of "off the radar" music TPAB hold's it's own musically. It's an album that if I were to be a Hip-Hop fan that is arguing the musical legitimacy of Hip-Hop, then TPAB alongside several other examples would be pushed without a thought. The production and the music on this album is simply amazing, specially for every fan of retro music. And the deeper I dig into jazz and funk music, the more I love and appreciate tpab's details and musical precision. But if you don't have a deep appreciation for these genres, you aint gonna like it, just like I wouldn't expect a hard rock hater to enjoy a good hard rock album. For what it is, I think this is as close to a perfect album as you can get. still hope his next project gives us a totally different sound from all his previous albums though.
