    Jaimie Foxx is almost 50. Tyson was the champ at 20. I don't understand how they expect this to work. He's gonna need to hit the PEDs pretty hard and be in makeup 2 hours a day to convince me. Still, Tyson's personal turmoil is on par with Jake Lamotta's. I just hope he doesn't try to recapture what made it great.

    Scorsese is also attached to direct The Ramones biopic. Thought he'd be working on it by now tbh.

    Apparently they're using the newest performance capture technology to help him get the look down.

    My problem with Jaimie Foxx staring in this isnt so much his age as it is Foxx himself. I'm not the biggest fan of him as an actor and if this was just an mid tier studio movie about Tyson I wouldnt care as much, but this being a Scorsese film I really they didnt pick Foxx.

    I think the only Foxx performance I like is Collateral and more so as Tom Cruise's foil than as a lead. I agree it sounds like a huge misstep, but who am I to question Scorsese? The fact that they plan on Benjamin Buttoning this doesn't give me much hope.

    definitely strange foxx got the role, given his age and all but between f---in terrence winter and scorcese :banderas:

    Yeah this could be great..depends on the tone and overall approach they take...but when your last boxing film is Raging Bull....I don't really get why this thing needs to happen

    Foxx is a good pick. The thing about black people is they never age, his performance in Ray was great. I don't see where the hate comes from.

    His most recent performance of note was The Amazing Spider-Man 2. He's old as balls.
    Get Michael B Jordan on a cycle and call it a day.

    EDIT: Jordan is already playing Apollo Creed's grandson in the Rocky sequel "Creed". You can't make this stuff up.

    you can't really judge his acting skills off of Spider Man 2 and ignore his good roles lol...brotha was Django! Mike Tyson never really looked to young to begin with either. I think he'd be perfect

    He played a generic Will Smith in Django. He had like the 4th best performance lol.
