Glad to see the mutual respect at the end, gotta assume and hope that they're trash talking again in time for part 3 though. Part 3 probably won't be till like 209, 210 at least right? Conor's gotta defend his belt next I'm sure.

Edit: I don't even remember writing this half of my post

Nate probably made more tonight than he did in his entire career.

I don't think there's a number out there to describe how many f---s he gives
I'd be ok with them waiting until spring or summer 2017 for round 3. I'm sure there will be plenty of s--- talking on the build up too it.

Connor needs to clean up Aldo and Holloway again at FW than he can go face Diaz again while the rest of the division figures out whose next.

Find it funny that Nate's excuses are being brushed off, but if Connor had lost and said the same things ppl would be ripping him..

He hinted at something outside of this sport after the fight. Sounds like they're actually trying to make the floyd mayweather fight happen which is good for him but it's a pointless fight. It's basically like CM Punk going to the UFC.
tbf Conor didn't make any after the first fight. His analysis that he wasn't efficient with his energy isn't an excuse. Just his honest analysis of how the fight went. Nick and Nate have always talked about "running" like it's illegal but let's be honest there's nothing wrong with how Conor fought (I still admire it in a way tho... the Diaz's know their strengths and they're fighters through and through who get frustrated when guys don't engage with them throughout the entirety of a fight). As for him bringing up a bunch of injuries he had in camp... I don't really give a f--- when fighters do that anyway. I doubt Conor would have done that if he lost anyway tho. Never said anything about the MCL in the chad fight or talked about injuries in the first Nate fight

What? If Conor wasn't making any excuses he would've said Good job to Nate, he was the better man that night. Saying he was inefficient with his energy is a joke, and is 100% an excuse. He started gassing, got punched in the face a couple times, and flat out quit. I've never seen a fighter mentally fold so quickly

I agree. I thought he mentally folded rather quickly on the night too.

But he did say he was the better man on the night. And nah it's not a joke. It's no different to saying "I should have landed the left hand more" or "I shouldn't have tried to empty the tank and finish him in the first". He was clearly trying way too hard to finish Nate in the first fight and was loading up and over-extending constantly. The whole persecuting fighters for giving any reasoning for their losses whatsoever is dumb. Conor was classy in defeat the first time. You're only being biased if you can't see that tbh

haha I actually like CM Punk. he's a really cool guy and I respect his balls. but the chances of him having any success are extremely thin... much like Conor fighting Floyd

So wait him saying he was inefficient with his energy was a joke? but then you said he gassed in your next sentence? So uh yea, that would be him being inefficient with his energy.

He went after Diaz and tried to take him out in the 1st round of the 1st fight. This time he paced himself while still dropping Diaz with ease 3 times in the first 2 rounds. Seemed like the game plan worked. He still ended up gassing a little towards the end but found a 2nd wind, which was enough to get him the win. Props to Nate for having a chin and a gas tank.

Nah you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. Or s-----y wording on my part, whatever

I don't mean Conor literally said it as a joke, I mean him saying that is a sad excuse. He came ill prepared conditioning-wise, and quit the second he got cracked. Also what is happening in your avy - did you get to meet Nate?

and @Sahara I do agree in that fighters take way too much flak for basic reasoning behind a s-----y performance. Maybe I need to watch more post fight interviews but I'll I've heard Nate say was he tweaked one of his knees and ribs a couple weeks back

I think it was pretty spot on. He went out there like it was one of his FW fights where nobody could last under his heat. He threw everything he had at Nate in those first 6 minutes and then really had nothing left, easy to fold when there is nothing left in the tank. I honestly think the way he came out last night, basically proved his point further. And again he was willing to run it back immediately, like nobody else in the sport would do. Guy has brass balls and thats why hes the biggest draw in the sport.

As far as my avy, as much as i wish i was Rob Gronkowski thats not me. Its more of a Gronk avy then a Nate one really...

Just realised that Rumble knocked out the number 2 guy in the world in 13 seconds in devastating fashion on the biggest PPV of all time. Guy's stock must have just risen nicely. The new Overeem.

Conor won rounds 1, 2 & 4. The 3rd round was the closest and I was ready to edge it to Conor but Nate had that fury of punches in the last 45 seconds which I think edged it to him. The 5th round was sloppy by both fighters which I mean I can't blame them. Nate seemed to be more on the offensive though and the take down at the very end was nice so I gave it to him.

After rewatching it, I pretty much agree with all this.

Only part I disagree with is round 3 being close since I feel Diaz won it pretty soundly (not enough to be 10-8 though).

I had it Conor 3-2. I thought Diaz won the 3rd pretty easily and took the 5th in the last minute or so
