Jul 8, 2017 Man these Interantional Fight Week PPV's have been cursed. 2014 Struve fainted in the locker room right before his fight with Mitrione, 2015 Aldo's ribs and eventual Mendes replacement, 2016 Jones USADA'd and now this.

Gaethje would rag doll him if he wanted to wrestle or trap him against the cage and punish him with legs kicks, body shots and knees until he crumbled. Trust me I've seen nearly all of Gaethje's fights and a bunch of Teymur's including his TUF run where he couldn't get past Marcin Wrzosek who is a natural 145 LB fighter. Michael Johnson would outclass Teymur and probably easier then he did against Barboza.

Leg kicks aren't some witchcraft lol. h---, I bet his clinchwork is better. Gaethje scraped past a guy who's lost 4 of his last 5 in a life or death coin flip. People are delusional if they think he's not the ideal candidate for a win-loss-win-loss UFC record.

Jul 8, 2017 Edson Barboza who arguably has the best leg kicks in the game has zero success landing leg kicks on Michael Johnson, Gaethje ruins MJ him with leg kicks... Johnson has been working with Henry Hooft for like 6 years. You would think he could defend leg kicks or maybe Gaethje's relentless pressure just causes issues for everybody as well as the unorthodox way he uses those kicks (like from the clinch). He hurts you to the head and body with knees and punches and then mixes in the kicks when you're not expecting them. And enough with the MJ is a bum narrative, he clearly beat Dariush. Jul 8, 2017 Michael Johnson is maybe the mentally weakest fighter in that division as well as the most willing to consent to a brawl on equal terms which Gaethje wants. Gaethje would ruin somebody like Nate with leg kicks, but Teymur would check them all day. Not many career kickboxers get TKO'd with leg kicks lol. Just doesn't happen. Barboza might collapse under Gaethje's pressure and probably has a worse chin. Ferg might get s----d into a brawl as well. I'm not discrediting Gaethje, he's got clear weaknesses like anybody else, and he's way too self destructive to have a smooth run of things. d--- it, really wanted to see Nunes-Shev. 213 has really fallen from grace.

Jul 8, 2017 You're not checking leg kicks when someone has you against the cage drilling you with knees and punches to the body and head, you're trying to stay conscious. Not to mention Gaethje ends combos with the leg kick, sometimes even from the clinch. If this were a kickboxing fight you would have a point, its not and you have a lot more to worry about with 4 oz gloves. I never once said Gaethje's one attack was his leg kicks, just one of many.

Maybe some combo of all those things? d---, it's disappointing cuz that fight would still be huge and make up for the loss of Nunes, and sounds like they'd both be down to do it...plus it'd be good business.
