@1999 heres a question for you -- how come the quality of ufo footage hasnt improved in the era of cell phones? jw ur POV. @BIGFOOT
b/c like, back in the day (pre 2000) i would watch sci fi or fox shows and there was always sketchy grainy footage of supposed ufos people always shot. now suddenly folks arent capturing loch ness or w/e. strange!!! (not saying we're alone, but jus curious ur thoughts)

Off top there's a lot of reasons I can think of

The most obvious one is because now that we do have a great camera on most of our phone's (even within its own limits) it's a lot easier to identify what something in the sky is, and get a better image of it and research what it is. So people are less inclined to label something a UFO when its just a spacex launch etc.

Also, because of how far technology has progressed it's way harder to trick people into believing fake photos/videos since everyone is familiar with photoshop nowadays. The issue with that is there are a lot of what I assume to be real UFO videos that are shot down as being fake. Even the first Pentagon released video leaked almost a decade ago but because it was posted on a forum based around filmmakers nobody really paid attention to it. Also, I'm sure theres hundreds or thousands of possible UFO videos that never get attention online and max out at 13 views on youtube just because of the mass amounts of videos and claims there are posted. And not for nothing but less people are just sitting outside looking at s--- because netflix exists

At this point the question isn't whether or not they exist, but more so what really shows them and what is just a balloon etc.

I'm in the same boat with Loch Ness (pun definitely intended).

Like deep/dark water on its own scares me enough, but the thought of a big a--- dinosaur cruising around down there has always been fascinating to me.

tbh, I love all of this s---. Cloverfield has always been one of my favorite movies due to it being in the "found footage" genre and all of the extra stuff that JJ Abrams and his team scattered around the internet to go with it.

When I was like 9 I saw a disk-shaped UFO on Halloween while trick-or-treating. It had red, blue and green colors and moved very fast. Friends saw it too but but the adults were like, "Duhh..what?"

@Captain Awesome AKA Papa also your post got me thinking about this doco I watched about the reptilian phenomenon. The scientist on there theorised it was a genetic fear passed down through DNA genetic type s---, which is evident in survival evolutionary traits etc. He believes there isn't reptiles but the brain glitches at night and projects reptilian like fears onto low visible objects when spooked type of deal. He said the reptile like fear is because a lot of predators throughout human history were snakes/alligators/komodo dragons/dinosaurs.
Interesting s---, made me think about like how humans retain data. Think the birth memory holds a lot of weight tbh.

I like the theory that we’re far too primitive as a species for aliens to waste their time with us. Think of how advanced an interstellar civilization has to be and then look at us. We’re still trying to figure out how to send humans to Mars. We’re still fighting over fossil fuels. An advanced civilization can handle asteroid impacts with ease, colonize multiple planets, harness stars for energy. We ain’t s---. If these videos are really alien in origin, maybe they’re just f---ing with us for the LULZ.
