Doggystyle-Snoop doesn't get as much credit as it should so it's definitely underrated.
    Mob Deep-The Infamous ,too

Jay Rock - Follow Me Home

I don't see this highly rated by a lot of people, but I think it's a classic west coast album. Same with YG's My Krazy Life. But I think that's a pretty popular choice.

@Koolo this is pretty open ended--any specific time periods/cities you're looking for?

I always considered these to be very excellent albums that might go under the radar:
    Beanie Sigel - The Truth
DJ Quik - Safe + Sound
Three Six Mafia - Mystic Stylez
Slum Village - Fantastic, Vol. 2
    JayLib - Champion Sound

Not really an album but the Members Of Byrdgang Vol.1 was absolutely flames, haven't heard it in so long. It had a rising Max B, a hungry Stack Bundles and finally with Mel Matrix and Jim Jones providing solid contributions.

In order from obscure to mainstream

    Grieves - Irreversible
Immortal Technique - Revolutionary, Vol. II
Big L - Lifestyles ov da Poor & Dangerous
    Big Pun - Capital Punishment

Others I'd consider classic are ones you've probably heard like Illmatic and OB4CL.
