Dec 8, 2017 Flow / Delivery - 1 Beat - 4 Subject Matter - 8 Score - 4.3 I rounded up to 5 out of generosity, since it's nearly Christmas and modern day Em needs all the help he can get.
Dec 8, 2017 As the official Stan representative I'll say the following... This is never gonna be a track that I throw on from time to time in the future. I'm interested enough in the lyrical gymnastics going on coupled with the content matter, that I'll make sure I appreciate those parts of it. I'm getting the shifts of tone, the segway to change point of view and I'm liking the statement. I'm one of the fortunate ones with half a brain to of course realise that Trump is cancer for America (except the rich folks of course - and I'm not American.... good luck over there, you sure as s--- need it) so I guess I'm on his side, and yes I would be categorised as a leftie over there I get why this is the follow-up "single" as it almost the complete opposite of WoW, purpose of course is to keep people guessing on wtf Revival is really gonna be. The setup was to get the non-thinkiers to scream "ow he's only doing his a capella s---!" so it could be switched up. So far, that's working out nicely. I still put WoW on, love that track, it has replay and sing-a-long value (why is that never appreciated btw?... not cool? - f--- it, I'm 40!). This just has me feeling kinda good that someone that I'm a fan of speaks his mind in a crazy creative and skilled way. Let's see what's next
Dec 8, 2017 Guys I dont understand you. Em spazzed out on this song. This definitely a classic from a performance view. If Kendrick has that --- soundscape on his album nobody says something but if Em does it you say it sucks. wtf
Dec 8, 2017 Because he insists on flowing / delivering in that s-----y choppy way. Definite improvement on the subject matter front though.
Dec 8, 2017 After few more listens, I can say that I enjoy it a bit and I definitely prefer this over Walk on Water, any day. I'll give it a 7/10.
Dec 8, 2017 Man, that s--- is interesting content lyrics beats is diferent but sound for like a experimental thing, and see marshall doing that is good marhall is not wasting no time now, f--- all that nosense things on mmlp2, real content now, oh yeah i like that s---
Dec 8, 2017 havent posted in a while, but this musicallly isnt a goood song, abd it doesn't do a good jb at his message. he's a guy who got rich from his captilaitstic opinions when he wanted money....does;t need it now...amd frakly his polical tracks havent been good sinve the meltdown encore. this song (musically) just sucks. if he cares about black lives matter let see some donations nd community service.... michael jordan always said both paries buy sneakers too....the guy isn't te same anymore and he doesn't get it.
Dec 8, 2017 “And just in case a chase might ensue, we got that tried and true Pistol drew right at you we be delighted to unload it In your back, then walk up, and lay that taser on the side of you”. The flow on this part
Dec 8, 2017 The song’s passable. The content is probably some of the most relevant we’ve seen from Em since TES and the lyrics and flow are there for once. The 2nd part, after the beat switch, is actually quite pleasing to the ear. Something that can’t be said for a majority of his post hiatus material. I do, however, feel we should acknowledge that Joyner Lucas’ execution of this concept was miles ahead.
Dec 8, 2017 This ranks up there with Stronger Than I Was, Survival, So Bad, and Stan as one of his best songs
Dec 8, 2017 Oh here we go another Drake stan over here thinking this song is bad go listen to Marvin's Room or some whack s--- you p----
