With the latest news of a brand new female lead horror anthology called XX and a spin-off called Siren from V/H/S 1 coming out soon what are your opinions of this franchise?

The last (for now) entry into the series, Viral, had good segments but ultimately fell flat. As a series that relies on an overarching story about watching a series of weird tapes there's still a lot of stpries/creatures/events they could use.

Werewolves. Vampires. Maybe even real life events such as the Battle of LA. Viral seemed to have burnt out the candle too soon of a bright looking franchise.

First two need re-watches at this point, but I remember them being pretty good. Safe Haven from V/H/S 2 is one of the best horror works ever.

I thought they were very good. I liked the idea and the different stories opened up a lot of different possibilities within the horror genre.

IMO both VHS 1 & 2 are both solid. Viral was booty. Let's see if they can recover.
