The police revised their timeline. Apparently the shooter shot the security guard in the leg several minutes before opening fire on the concert. The security guard had gone up to the shooters floor to respond to an alarm that had went off.

This Vice News special on the firearm industry in the U.S. is really interesting:



Pretty much shows how the NRA brands itself & keeps business running per usual even after the influx of all these high profile mass shootings. Two stats in particular popped out to me the most:
-Only 10 U.S. states require its citizens to report when their firearm(s) are loss or stolen.
-400,000 firearms are stolen in the U.S. every year. Most of them are sold on the black market.

So if police knew of the shooter's location after he shot the security guard, how or why did it take them
over an hour until they got to his room?

They supposedly knew his location 6 minutes before the shooting when the security guard alerted them.

This isn't making sense.
