Feb 9, 2018 supposedly no spiderman, only peter parker it's still fuckery tho since none of this is connected to the MCU and that's dumb as s--- on Sony's part. they couldn't just wait and let Marvel do this in due time with a proper setup for Spiderman, they had to double down on their s-----y post-Amazing Spiderman plans even with Spidey in the MCU now what an absolute waste
Feb 9, 2018 It’s a rated R movie. They aren’t going to connect something rated R to the MCU. Deadpool & Logan has no connection to the MCU and did fantastic.
Feb 9, 2018 it not being connected is not the result of the rating. it was never connected even before they went this route because they're just doing whatever the f--- they want with the Spiderman characters still, without Marvels involvement they also had no involvement from Sony, who consistently s----s the bed with their movies and is only making this r-rated after the fact that those 2 did well also this is all irrelevant to the bigger picture, which is that it's dumb as s--- for them to continue to push forward with movies like this outside of the MCU when they made the deal to get Spiderman stuff back into the MCU in the first place
Feb 9, 2018 Hopefully it's not good because then they would obviously make sequels and expand it's universe. Venom is my fav villain/antihero but I don't like the idea of this separate universe s--- but I also don't like the idea of this flopping cause even if the rights eventually revert back to Disney theres no way they'd give Venom a shot at a solo movie. Hopefully if it is the case, they decide to extend Tom Holland's contract beyond the current trilogy that he's signed on for and create a new 2/3 parter that revolves around Spider-Man vs Venom initially and then the two team up against other symbiotes in the follow-up(s).
