iyrtitl was outstanding in my book. his release with future may not have met expectations, but it was still played everywhere. and hotline bling is soty contender. thugger had a big year for him, but he still hasn't broken through to the masses, which should eliminate him from conversation.asvdawg, Mike Tyson and JG2 like this. -

I dislike Future; but it's kinda hard to deny the work he's put in this past year..
I've grown to enjoy thugger's music a lot, thanks to @Narsh and the amount of quality he's released this year is outstanding
Kendrick has definitely been on top with one of the best albums of the year, but that doesn't make him the best rapper of the year
Staples had an instant classic as a debut; and it is one of the best hip-hop records this year, probably of all time (See Kendrick) but one album doesn't make you the best rapper either
Drake gave Meek a bunch of L's this year, this too doesn't make you the best rapper of the year..
