He signed to his label, made alot of money off of the label, stayed relevant because of the label, has a higher profile as an artist because of who he's associated with which opens doors for other job opportunities. Budden career was dead until he signed to Shady, pumping out albums and mixtapes that sold nothing. I would say he owes Eminem quite more than he thinks.
