Dude didn't drop s--- under def jam, not a single song 2) K.dot was still trying to find himself and wasn't even considered as a rapper to look for I'm not gonna lie, I've been listening to kendrick for 4 years, maybe 5 but I already knew who he was back in the days, I was just not interested in his music. With that being said, it was no secret that he was signed to Def jam but it became a sinking boat after Jay's departure. Kendrick confirmed that "premature" deal later in "Last Real n----- Alive"
Mar 2, 2016 The funny thing is that linking the def jam's roster ain't proving that he wasn't on def jam, it's only proving that you were not following kendrick when he was calling himself "Kdot" "but but, I don't see any official mention on def jam official webpage". No s--- sherlock, that's exactly what a casual fan would say. The fact is, anybody who been listening to kendrick since his kdot days (like you pretend to) should know he had a deal with def jam. s--- would have been official if he stayed in def jam one more year, just like his aftermath/interscope was only publicly revealed 1 year later. Mar 2, 2016 Well to me, if you look at the lyrics in Last Real n----- Alive, "i had a situation with Def Jam premature, s--- went sour after Jay-Z left but they didn't care" sounds to me like Jay was in the process of signing him but quit before it fully happened. leaving Kendrick in limbo at Def Jam hence why he's not on any of their rosters anywhere.

Mar 2, 2016 yeah apparently your not allowed to be a fan if you don't rate TPAB (his worst album) as his best. 1) artists opinion on their body of work is often VERY different to listeners/audience 2) everyone loves GKMC, everyone would find standing around listening to TPAB live a slow paced and weird experience (probably with heroin junkies with the shakes shuffling and drooling around) TPAB concert; GKMC concert;
