    the way the hook was layered is similar to The Apple. He must've been trying something new, like the increased pitch vocals he used during this time.

    but srsly though. the hook kills the song for you? song is great imo

    Careful What You Wish For is certainly one of better songs of the Relapse era, but... My Darling though :banderas:

    both were clearly recorded prior to relapse though. I would have loved if My Darling was the opener instead of 3AM. It would've worked so well

    Yeah, that and CWUWF were recorded before Relapse I believe. I just label them the Relapse era songs because that's when they were released.

    I remember back when Relapse came out TR would have countless of posts of users making their own Relapse tracklist and My Darling would always replace 3am.

    I remember listening to this waiting for the Eminem verse. "Beat is great, hook is great. Eminem is gonna murder this s--- :cp3:"

    ... Then the song finished with no Eminem verse :beli:

    all in all, he should have stuck with the "I was an addict. I was in a very dark place. I'm getting better now. I'm sorry I was gone" theme instead of turning the addiction into a serial killer theme. in my opinion anyway. the songs like that (My Darling, Careful What You Wish For, Deja Vu) were amazing and light years above the rest of the s--- on Relapse

    Yep great beat and hook, had a bad Yayo verse (no surprises there) followed by an okay Obie verse then I was thinking its okay I can deal with Yayos verse if Ems is good and then it was just another yayo verse:emoji_sob::emoji_sob:

    Honestly, given the name Relapse and Eminem rapping about what has/was/is happening in his life I thought Relapse would be a really candid, personal album of him telling us about his demons, why he quit and what happened and the things you mentioned. But no, he decided to waste the concept on a serial killer and thinking an accent would make it more interesting :rudy:

    Imagine an Eminem verse with the same flow he done for the hook :allears: but no, f---ing Yayo had to grace us with his presence for a second verse

    and hardly a single mention of Proof, one of the KEY FACTORS in his complete depression. I think he got one mention on Deja Vu and that's it?

    Imagine how people would've reacted if Relapse was indeed a personal album and "Difficult" was the sole dedication to Proof. People would have flipped s---.

    If Relapse had a lot more personal tracks like Difficult, Deja Vu, going into his drug problems, his demons all the s--- that went on in his life after '05 and a mix of others like CWUWF and others, it truly would've been a great comeback album and would've ranked top 3 I'm sure of it.
