    Sleater-Kinney rang in the new year with a special show at San Francisco’s Masonic, with support from the Thermals and a DJ set from Spoon’s Britt Daniel. During the show, they covered George Michael’s “Faith” in tribute to the late singer, then brought out Daniel and the Thermals’ Hutch Harris to conclude with David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel,” as Consequence of Sound points out. Watch it happen below, and scroll down to see them lead a new year’s countdown (around the nine-minute mark).

    Last January, Daniel covered Bowie’s “Never Let Me Down.”
