I think we won't be happy with Eminem clones.

the label must sign an artist as great as DaBaby, or shut down. I don't see the point for shady in 2020.

I can't prove it but some artists such as Griselda ones don't really like Em's stuff. They probably think he might ruin their songs or something. We know Em has thousands of leftover verses. Why the h--- wouldn't he share few of them with his own artists ? I know it sounds impossible not to want Em feature and I'm sure they wouldn't say no to an Em feature neither but it feels like they don't mind not having any even prefer that artistically. It feels that way. It's not a more ridicilous thought than the Em being so stingy to even give random a--- leftover verses. We know for a fact he sign to those who he is fan of. Otherwise, why would he sign some nobodies and rappers that has no chance of blowing up. He has no win in that. So why wouldn't he wanna give some features for some artists he is a fan of and at the same time probably helping them do better numberwise.

I only like 2 tracks by this guy lol, Rockstar and Find My Way. Dude is far from great.

Em should find a Kanye, Cudi or Drake type of artist. Someone who can sing and rap and most important, with chances of blowing up.

Shady actually did a lot for them, probably the most out of any artist since 50 Cent..

Gave them exposure to a wider audience, probably put up the money for studio time on WWCD, WMTS, and GDMM. Promoted the WWCD tour which was supposed to be extended pre-Covid. They also likely contributed to the promotional budget for each album and the budget for any videos. They probably had a direct hand in getting the guys on Fallon. They did this while still allowing each artist to release music and merch independently. I'd imagine some of the advance money also went towards recording albums that weren't on Shady as well.

As with most record deals the primary incentive for the artist to sign is money. Shady gave WSG and Conway a presumably large sum of money in exchange for 3 albums.
Shady definitely could have done more to promote them, but the primary point of any record deal is money in exchange for music, its not like they signed for free and were only doing it for exposure.
I'm guessing WSG probably made out very well overall on the deal. He got a big chunk of money, and made WWCD and WMTSS on minimal budgets (no samples, almost all the beats came from a single studio session).

Shady isn't the best label and they don't have a great track record, but yall are acting like they straight up robbed Griselda. Presumably both sides made decent money off the deal plus griselda got to the forefront to tons of hip hop fans that would have never gave them a listen before.

Yep, alone the listener boost they got.

I dont understand why people overreacting about this.

The contract said from the beginning "One Album for the group, one for conway, one for westside". What people expect Shady to do? Give them a new contract for another 3 album run?

And for real, you dont need real promotion these days anymore. You can upload a hit and it will make his way on its own

Edit: I only can speak for me, even if i listening to a lot of music and different artist, i never heard of griselda before the sign with shady. Like i said, they got a lot of more listeners before they even dropped the first shady project
