Aug 31, 2016 Eh... I dont think so. It was recorded and finished before hand. I dont think it was done like that. Could be, but i just sort of doubt it. I know that there was an alternative version of this album, too. Who knows, its weird either way.
Aug 31, 2016 Doubt Suge cares, if it creates more controversy then that's more money for em. It's 3 seconds saying 'Suge shot me', doesn't matter if the album was already done they could have easily added that in. The album wasn't released till almost 2 months after Pac's death if I'm not mistaken. I don't know anything about this 'alternative' version of the album, where'd you hear that?
Aug 31, 2016 what if Suge added that after Tupacs death to incite controversy over the album.? a.k.a more album sales
Aug 31, 2016 because it doesn't even sound like Tupacs voice, and not to mention ....Tupac explicitly went after all those rappers but just for that part he quiets it to the point where you have to really listen to hear it? ....that doesn't make sense to me I feel like he woulda screamed it on the track so it was no denying his accusation
Aug 31, 2016 Yeah im saying its possible but i dont know. I'm not gonna go with a conspiracy theory that has no basis. There's no "suge shot me" in that version of bomb first
Aug 31, 2016 d--- there's not even the part with the reporter talking in this version, and according to the comments on that youtube link people are saying this was the version Pac heard and thought was being released? So Pac never even knew about that whole reporter part in the intro and they took his 'it's not about east or west' comment from somewhere and just put it in there I assume, crazy s---.
Aug 31, 2016 Either way there are quite a few of examples of Pac alluding to his own death on the album.. Suge shot me just adds to it lol
Aug 31, 2016 Holy s--- can't believe I never knew about this version, thanks @Lamont . I consider myself a big Pac fan but somehow didn't know bout this version lol, f---in crazy to hear a different version of Krazy. It's on a different spot on the album too. Guess they didn't get it all mixed and finished before Pac died, wonder why they took out some of the stuff like him yelling 'krazy' in the background of the chorus. *edit* actually it's still in the other version, just much more quiet lol.
Aug 31, 2016 I totally forgot that they didn't have "Suge shot me" and Shock G reporting the west coast vs east coast beef on the intro tbh. Yeah, I enjoy the demo version. This is how Pac wanted it.. I wonder who's idea it was to add all of that extra s---
Aug 31, 2016 but daft punk was a year before pacs record with the same mumbled that sounded like "suge shot me" why would suge release an album on his own record label with that lol
Aug 31, 2016 Da funk was released 95, makaveli released november 5 96 ninja edit: music video was 97, the single was 95
Aug 31, 2016 I just checked and according to wikipedia it was initially released in 95 like the youtube video says https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Da_Funk
Aug 31, 2016 Never knew about this alternative version too, glad to hear how pac wanted it to be. Been a long time pac fan too. I like this version too, but the released version gave more of a dark vibe to it imo
Aug 31, 2016 Someone still could have heard the effect from that daft punk song and added it in thinking it sounded like "suge shot me" to stir up controversy as @Kon was saying
