Aug 27, 2019 Your favorite rapper has either borrowed a flow or a production cue from Pluto, it needed to be said. Chief Keef spawned a million clones, few have come close to replicating the original We need to talk about the early LA scene before Mustard...Nipsey & Dom were each crafting something unique while adhering to the vintage West Coast blueprint. What TDE did after was even more unique.
Aug 27, 2019 What a weird post from someone in their mid 30s. I remember the last time someone posted your picture, you were so embarrassed and angry that you pm’d several mods until they finally took the picture down.
Aug 28, 2019 Yeah. A grown men rap album that doesn't mention poop , piss , burger king or raping women
Aug 28, 2019 1. Andre 3,000 2. Black Thought 3. Notorious B.I.G. 4. MF DOOM 5. Nas 6. Rakim 7. Lauryn Hill 8. KRS-One 9. Mos Def 10. Ghostface Killah *Note* My personal favorite is Kanye. He isn't the most technically sound, but for the most part, gets the job done. Plus, he's the GOAT when it comes to crafting records. Has 5 certified classics under his belt.
Aug 28, 2019 4:44 was mediocre. Less then half of it was good. Just used to be fire .. he’s still good if he writes his s--- a little. This off the dome s--- needs to stop. His flow gets boring. At least Eminem switches his flow up.
Aug 28, 2019 I think Em's a better technician than Jay. But that's about it. When Em came out, nobody was rhyming like that at the time. His flows, patterns, etc were revolutionary. "Slim Shady LP" & "Marshall Mathers LP" are classics in my book & will forever stand the test of time. But those are all he's got (imo) His s--- went downhill fast over time. Jay has waaaaay more highlights in his discog. Sure he has some flops here n' there, but dude's been more consistent. I feel like if Em had better producers to work with (Aside from Dre) he would've been right there with Jay. That's just my take on it though. Btw, your avi's the s---. Westside, Conway, & Benny are all on the come up.
Aug 28, 2019 Absolute facts. If we're talking about influence alone Sosa comes in at number 1, no competition. He's this decade's Rakim lol.
Aug 28, 2019 There's a difference between having a top 10 list of rappers you enjoy listening to the most and a top 10 GOAT rappers. When making a GOAT list you have to be objective. There are some "inferior" rappers that I enjoy listening to more than some who are considered GOATs but I wouldn't rank them above the GOATs. I'll assume that this is just a list of rappers you personally enjoy listening to the most and not rappers you consider to be the greatest of all time lol.
Aug 28, 2019 while i wouldn't put gucci on a top ten list over pac, any top 25 list without him would be incomplete
Aug 29, 2019 To be fair its very difficult to compare the 2 especially since Pac didn't have the same opportunity to go as far as Gucci has. But for me it comes back to the criteria we use for defining a GOAT list. Pac definitely ticks off all the traditional criteria (sales, impact, lyrical/technical ability or whatever you want to call it, etc.), so does Nas, Eminem, Jay-Z. But Gucci does that plus introduced entirely new criteria to the equation. Him (and Wayne before him) redefined what it means to be prolific, what it means to be a mentor/influencer and essentially laid new foundations for the entire genre. Migos, Thug, Future, Flocka, Sosa, Uzi and everyone that followed them. Not to mention Zaytoven, Lex Luger, Metro Boomin, etc. Again, not easy to compare because they're so different and I suppose on a different day I might rank Pac above Gucci but he's gotta be top 10 imo.
