I get it but you can’t compare Dr. Dre and f---ing Future if comparing “best” rappers. Favorite sure, but you can’t deny the influence Dre has had on the industry. He’s an icon.

Oh I fully agree but I'm pretty sure there are people here that will put Thug or Future above Dre.

Any top 50 which doesn’t contain Em is just someone trying to be edgy.

Like having a top 50 footballers and leaving Messi out. Incomprehensible.

Some of my most listened to rap artists include

    DOOM
    Apathy
    Esoteric
    Royce
    Em
    Ghostface
    Dr. Dre
    Tech N9ne
    Kendrick
    Jay Rock
    Yelawolf
    ASAP Rocky/Ferg
    Schoolboy Q
    Tribe
    Ces Cru
    JL
    King ISO
    Mac Miller
    Mayday
    Logic
    Nas
    Rittz
    Vince Staples
    Denzel Curry
    Freddie Gibbs and Madlib

My favorite artist across any genre has and always will be Rage Against the Machine. Their music never gets old and honestly has aged so well it’s incredible. It was also the first music I remember listening to. I pretty much love every kind of music. Everything from blue grass to movie soundtracks, but it just so happens that rap is my fav.

It doesn't feel like a 2Pac album. It just feels really manufactured—I think it's hard for someone who never collaborated with the artist in question to make a posthumous album.

I do dig Ghetto Gospel and Hennessy on that album though. Even if splicing together his vocals so he shouts out Obie Trice is :wtf2wtf:

Very reasonable not to like em. Music is subjective and its reasonable not to like a certan style

Actual best of all time is super tough but I'd prob do something like (no order):
    Jay
    Big
    Pac
    Wayne
    Kanye
    Andre
    Scarface
    Ghostface
    Ice Cube
Future (people gonna debate this one but I think he's easily top 20 at this point and could slide in on the back end of a top 10 list so I'ma put him on)

So for me, I don’t really get into rankings about who’s the best. I have a favorite all time five though, that I know mean the most to me. Number one is solidified, but the rest are interchangeable.

    1. Kanye West
    Lil Wayne
    Kendrick Lamar
    Eminem
    Kid Cudi

I don’t really listen to Eminem at all anymore, but it would be disingenuous to say he’s not in my top 5 favorites of all time just because he was the one who made me like rap in the first place and I stanned forever. But when I say I don’t listen to him anymore, I don’t even really revisit his older stuff either. Maybe like once every three years, it’s just not for me anymore

    See @joeyp363 what I mean?

No offence btw bc I just pointed out to him that there are people that would put Future or Thug over Dre, 50, Nas etc despite their reputation as icons/legends.
