    The du-rag and snapback combination.

Rappers wearing jerseys, I hardly ever see that.

    some more

-Rappers making gay jokes, calling people gay as an insult. Probably still exists but not as prevalent.
    -Rapper and Producer duos
    -Double albums, still rarely happen

This was clickbait, equally as bad as the terms lyrical & mumble rap. Categorizing rappers is a sin in itself, sure there are terms you can use to describe but it shouldnt be the foundational stone to simply label them. It's not a complex existential debate lol, it's just rap

Shoutout @Changeling this did numbers on the board

ok, but would a rapper ever call their music "mumble rap"? It's an inherently negative term. It's only used to to describe black (inb4 post malone), southern rappers who have thick accents and speak with a lot of regional slang. Even if you don't mean it to be racial, it's rooted in race at least somewhat.

of course it exists, you f---ing dolt. that's why we're talking about it. i'm saying the term exists as a pejorative and a. doesn't accurately describe a sub-genre and b. is used almost exclusively as a pejorative. no one writes criticism about a record and says "this is some good mumble rap." no rappers would describe their work that way.
