    What's everyone's 2017 reading goals? I set mine for 25 books this year, after missing my goal of 20 the last 2 years.

    So far I've read 3 this year. Just started the Dexter books so I've got lots of books lined up on my Goodreads to-read list.

    Finished with 10 books on the year in 2016. Trying to read 20 pages right when i wake up everyday, should result in 20-30 books a year

    I've read Thinner (Stephen King) and The Two Towers this year, currently reading The Return of the King and Different Seasons (collection of four novellas by Stephen King)

    I set mine at 26 on the 1st of the year. Thats 16 more than last year if I can do it.

    25 is my goal for this year as well.

    So far I've read The Corner by David Simon, A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan, and The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman. Started Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon which might set me back from my goal considering it's a thick 6-700 pages. Also reread the first Series of Unfortunate Events book for s----s cuz it took like an hour to read, lol. Might reread a few more before I watch the Netflix series and to get my number up with some easy books to balance out Gravity's Rainbow.

    Awesome, I've got a similar plan to read more also. I'm shooting to finish 10% of a book a day (on kindle I usually track by % or location) or 5% a day for longer books, just to stay on track for my goal. So far it's working. The book I just finished (The Wolf of Wall Street) was 9000 locations (roughly 550 pages I think) so I just did 5% a day.

    That's funny, my wife is rereading the Series of Unfortunate Events too since we started watching the show, so she's already read like 12 books this year.

    I've read 7 books so far this year... these ones plus The Wolf of Wall Street.

    I never got to finish A Series of Unfortunate Events got to like book 12 but I grew out of books by the time the rest came out :emoji_slight_frown:
