If you like the Presidential stuff he did one on Nixon called Nixon.. not as good though.
His latest movie is Snowden. Platoon is about Vietnam and probably his best movie.

    Recently finished:
Survivor: The Ultimate Game by Mark Burnett
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
    (both 5 star books)

    Just started:
    Ballplayer by Chipper Jones

Finished 13 books so far this year, which I think is how many I read all of last year. Enjoying reading a lot now that I make a point to do it more.

Halfway through the year, keeping good on my goal to read two books a month. So far I've read:

A Visit From the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan
    The Corner by David Simon
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
    Spoiled Brats by Simon Rich
The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket (lol I read this in one sitting when the show came out -- still haven't watched all the show but I read all these books when I was a kid)
    The Vegetarian by Han Kang
American Gods by Neil Gaiman (a lotta people love this book, thought it was good, but not amazing. show is trash)
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood
The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
Maus Part I: My Father Bleeds History by Art Spiegelman
Maus Part II: And Here My Trouble Begins by Art Spiegelman
    Disgrace by J. M. Coetzee

To be fair, one was a kid's book and two are graphic novels, but I also read some hefty ones like The Corner and American Gods so I think it all balances out. Was never really into graphic novels until I read Maus (only one I had read before that was Watchmen when I was in high school), but that really showed me the medium's potential. I picked up a few more at the recommendation of some friends and coworkers:

    Persepolis
Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt
    Fun Home
Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth

Started reading Days of Destruction and I wouldn't quite call it a full on graphic novel -- it's more journalism with hand drawn pictures and a few graphic segments. Still very good though.

I wish I would read more novels. I only ever read for enjoyment during hollidays because when uni is on i allways feel like i should be studying instead. Which is stupid considering i got no problem doing other things like f---in around on rap forums.
