Mar 13, 2018 Having aspirations isn't unhealthy, why would u let the fear of failure get in the way of doing s--- you want to do
Mar 13, 2018 Its not unhealthy as long as you're realistic about them. If you set goals that are hard to achieve and you don't achieve them it could make you depressed, depending on different factors.
Mar 13, 2018 Ok but he's basically saying you shouldnt set hard goals for yourself cus if u don't achieve them you'll be sad. Kinda p---- s--- is that?
Mar 13, 2018 Not sure if he means that tbh but if you are easily getting depressed over stuff like that you should reconsider setting certain goals.. thats what I meant.
Mar 13, 2018 If your easily getting depressed over hard work and a little stress you probably have other issues. Goals are supposed to be hard. That's the point of having them. They get you out of your comfort zone and make you work for the s--- you want. I've found goals to be very healthy for me.
Mar 13, 2018 Like if ur a fat slob and your life goal is to be a professional body builder do u just say f--- it cus it seems unrealistic and itd be too hard and stressful? Is that what were saying?
Mar 13, 2018 Of course there are other issues then. Thats what I meant with other factors playing a role. For example it depends on how your regular life is/what else you have etc.
Mar 13, 2018 This is actually a good example. If you're a fat slob with low self esteem, a s-----y life, not a good social life and you set the goal to become a bodybuilder... big chance you will get (more) depressed when u realize you will not achieve your goal.. which makes you feel even worse about yourself. If you have a stable life, and set a high goal, and you're not gonna reach it.. you have things and people to fall back on which can help you get over it.
Mar 13, 2018 Getting my Tommy Hilfiger shirt back from some Cambodian chick I hooked up with at college.
Mar 13, 2018 In the 1st case its better to set small goals... Like lose an x amount of weight in a period of time. If he succeeds his confidence will go up and he can take it further, step by step. Its a win win really.
Mar 13, 2018 This is different. I somewhat agree with you on this. That's a pretty loserish mentality to just give up on your goal because you don't have a plan. How about if your aspiration is to become a bodybuilder you set a goal to hit the gym a few times a week, to get educated, to network with other people wit similar interests, etc. That's all part of having goals and aspirations
Mar 13, 2018 Yea that's exactly my point and that's what having goals will sort of force you to do. How can that be unhealthy
Mar 13, 2018 That is easy when your confidence is high. But not for people who already have a low self esteem/s-----y life. I get what you're saying in some way it's kinda 'loser-ish' sure.
Mar 13, 2018 Sure but thats why I said having smaller realistic goals and working up to it are in some cases better than set a very high goal which seems unrealistic to achieve at first
Mar 13, 2018 I wouldn't consider asking a girl out a goal lol. And if u cant handle the L of getting rejected ur probably a fa---- If being a rapper is a legitimate aspiration. Wouldnt you work on being a better rapper? What's really keeping you from trying? Fear of failure is what I'm reading.
