Hey guys, so I made a song about a week ago and want to make another one asap. Only issue is that whenever I make any, they sound as if they are made at a desk (You can have a listen here if you like- ) . Was just wondering what everyone uses for software / equipment and how hard it would be to learn it all. Really keen on having a more polished sound, any producing expertise or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    cool edit pro for recording
    FL for production.

i find cool edit easy to use since i started like you and had the same problems..
you just have to go through some tutorial and try it yourself, if the mic is not an issue of course..

    sidechain and use serum

what DAW you use doesn't matter. what matters is how you use the tools availible to you. all DAW's do the same thing, they only do it in different way. i use logic tho

Hey guys, so I just dropped another song using Adobe Audition instead of my old program, as well as with a different mic.
Hopefully you can pick up on the difference in quality, this one was over a jazz beat if anyone was interested. Appreciate it

I was using an older version of adobe audition and an mxl tempo mic, which were ok but I think a big part is knowing what to do whilst editing

Hey guys, so for my most recent song I made sure that it was properly produced, and I hope you guys vibe to it. It's similar to the old school and jazzy vibes in my previous song - but with a significant improvement in the production. Hope you guys like it, feel free to check it out :).
