Dec 24, 2020 I want from him to stay like this, just having fun on the mic. i think a Good way for him would be just to release EP‘s with one producers the next 2-3 years (without a theme, just f---ing around and trying new things) and then around 2 - 3 solo albums before retirement where his last album should be a album with a concept I have in my mind
Dec 24, 2020 okay heres the best answer a mixtape of old school production/flips like Dont Front featuring OG rappers like rakim treach nas jay z dmz tribe called quest snoop dre etc u get the idea BME 2 10 tracks em can have his technical rapping limited to something like this , first project was amazing new album - all dre/eminem/bass brothers/luis rusto/elizondo production vocal layering no trap beats good mix of serious/mature/emotionally driven records and fun/less heavy tracks features from 50 Obie and Xzibit bonus disc with 3 unreleased tracks from 01-03 a couple scrapped d12 tracks featuring proof unreleased verses detroit artist collab project elzhi black milk proofs son big sean king gordy and a j dilla beat
Dec 24, 2020 If, by “prime Em” you mean absolute trash then yeah. Crunching as many puns as you can into each line doesn’t equal a good song.
Dec 24, 2020 I actually think the last album is the best way to hit people with a surprise... put out a decent single a couple weeks before, but no word on an album... the Thursday it’s gonna drop have Em post a note on his socials this is gonna be the last one and then hit them with a classic. It would be Kamikaze-level big, if not bigger. But I want that EP with Alchemist first lol
Dec 24, 2020 I'd like another Bad Meets Evil EP with perhaps some Premo production. Since Royce & Em are on the top of their game currently. I'd like to hear a song of Em & Kxng Crooked just spazzing out and showing their lyrical abilities.
Dec 24, 2020 For better or for worse, he's never going to retire. The only time he was close was at the height of his addiction. He might stop making albums for awhile but I doubt he'll ever officially say he's done. He's been invigorated for the past few years and doesn't seem like he's slowing down.
Dec 24, 2020 I think by the time he's pushing 60 he'll be either done with albums or at least slowing way down
Dec 24, 2020 tbh, rap is such a new genre that we don't really know what to expect from rappers when they begin to surpass middle age and get into old age. You still have people like Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney making music, so it'll be interesting to see what happens with rap. There's a point where he'll slow down I'm sure, but he LOVES rap and I doubt he'll ever say I'm quitting/retiring. He loves the genre too much to do that—it's his life.
Dec 24, 2020 maybe a Jay Z & Eminem collab record for the old folks. be a nice touch with this pandemic.
Dec 24, 2020 1. Strong emphasis on concept songs similar to Stan, Bad Guy, etc or or a whole concept album similar to Good Kid Maad City/d--- by Kendrick. He excels in that area. 2. Put out an album full of soul samples or Boom Bap style beats similar to what Jay-Z did on 4:44 or Gibb's latest works. It'd be nice to see Em dabble in rapping over that style of production, especially as an OG in the game. 3. Collaborate with more lyrical rappers outside the Shady/Slaughterhouse group such as Kendrick, Gibbs, Cole, Lupe Fiasco, Kodak Black, Wayne, Roc Marciano, Ka, Elzhi(who's literally from Detroit), etc. 4. Don't focus on critics or detractors anymore post MTBMB. Just don't pay attention to them any more. That's basically it.
