Jan 5, 2015 Eminem is a pretty divisive artist regarding what his best material is but I honestly cannot fathom how any Eminem fan wouldn't like the hook on Deja Vu (or the song in general). I don't think there's ever been a clearer best song on any album in the history of music than Deja Vu on Relapse.
Jan 5, 2015 I honestly think that calling female singers to do hooks in his songs is the only way for him to get close to a girl. I don't know if it's payed off, it probably did though. Marshall's a player no matter how you look at it. When the hook's actually good (Liz Rodriguez/Rihanna) it's a win/win

Jan 5, 2015 Tbh I think it's a matter of confidence. He features guest singers on his hooks and uses practically the same format (verse/hook/verse/hook/verse) all the time, he used punchlines heavily etc. Instead of trying to make a trend, he follows trends, and that's a limitation to whatever creativity he has left. Another problem is that his new fanbase consists of Rihanna fans, that could explain the Riri and other female singers. I think he'll manage to sound better in the next album and probably have less features than Recovery/MMLP2. He showed in Fine Line and that Cypher that he can rap his a--- off, and from the few songs that I've heard post MMLP2, that he doesn't have that many bad puns as in Recovery. He also made songs like Don't Front for his previous album, so maybe he'll try and do more stuff like this. So yeah, the problem with his hooks is part of his problem since his comeback. edit: Berzerk is a very good recent hook imo

Jan 5, 2015 k there are a couple tracks there i can't stand either except are you sure you're appreciating how many different situations (his fans, his exes, his parents, his daughters, his peers and so on) he's describing at the exact same time with every last line of some of the songs you mentioned?
