So while it's pretty obvious that d---. has a much more loose and up-for-interpretation concept that Kendrick's previous three projects, there is obviously an underlying narrative that ppl have been explaining in their own ways

one important piece to the puzzle (if not the most important) is this phrase "what happens on earth stays on earth" that is not only repeated by Kid Capri throughout the album but is also in the albums booklet (!)

did a little digging and found some analysis on this

according to rap genius page on Holy Bible (yes this is on rap genius wtf): https://genius.com/1611734 , this saying is a paraphrase of 1:Timothy 6:7 which reads:

"For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out."

However thats not all to do with this phrase, as Kendrick actually says it himself on the last verse of FEAR. (the track that gives us the most insight into the overall album meaning) when gives clarity into the fact that these 14 'tracks' are 'feelings' that he has on Earth:

"I'm talkin' fear, fear of losin' creativity
I'm talkin' fear, fear of missin' out on you and me
I'm talkin' fear, fear of losin' loyalty from pride

'Cause my DNA won't let me involve in the light of God
I'm talkin' fear, fear that my humbleness is gone
I'm talkin' fear, fear that love ain't livin' here no more
I'm talkin' fear, fear that it's wickedness or weakness
Fear, whatever it is, both is distinctive
Fear, what happens on Earth stays on Earth
And I can't take these feelings with me
    So hopefully they disperse

Within fourteen tracks, carried out over wax
Searchin' for resolutions until somebody get back
Fear, what happens on Earth stays on Earth
And I can't take these feelings with me
    So hopefully they disperse

Within fourteen tracks, carried out over wax
Wonderin' if I'm livin' through fear or livin' through rap
    "

Notice how throughout this verse he references the titles of several songs as well. This track (FEAR.) is about how Fear has affected Kendrick throughout his life (in ten year intervals-- 7, 17, 27). The verse above (verse 4) speaks on fear as it applies to Kendrick CURRENTLY.

These feelings (these songs) are what Kendrick fears of losing when he leaves Earth, because he can't take them with him.

But why is Kendrick leaving Earth? Why is this happening? And how does it connect this album-- these fourteen tracks carried out over wax, these feelings.

Top Dawg spared Ducky, allowing himself and Kendrick to meet up 20 years later and produce this music and become the greatest rapper ever. Top didn't have to serve life. Kendrick had a father and didn't die in a gunfight

But Ironically in the end, 20 years later, he was killed by blind Lady Justice (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Justice) because out of the kindness of his heart he was trying to help her find something she lost. ("Love's gonna get you killed")

And so as Kendrick is dying from this gunshot (literal or otherwise) and is in the process of leaving this Earth and seeing his life flash before his eyes as he dies, these 14 tracks are what he's thinking about and what he's leaving behind on wax (in the form of music) because he can't take them with him from Earth. That is death

tl:dr Kendrick is shot by lady justice and these 14 tracks are his life flashing before his eyes and what he fears of losing and that's why what happens on Earth stays on Earth is such an important phrase on this album because kendrick can't take these feelings with him so we get this album

sorry if this long winded :wellsht:

    what do you guys think?

So is Kenny gonna marry someone on Earth and then not tell anyone when he goes to outer space?

It literally just clicked for me. His life is flashing before his eyes backwards. Hence the start of the album being the fox news sample because thats one of the most current thing he's gone through in the eyes of the public. From DNA to Duckworth the timeline of his life is playing in reverse. Thats why the last track is the coincidental story of his conception. This album is so deep. I still don't know wtf BLOOD symbolizes but thats a testament to his genius
