No, they are "slant rhyme"s. In my example you're not rhyming them strictly with each other but with fellow perfect rhymes in a series.

    Trust me, child.

Yes, but it's still a single-syllable rhyme. The fact that it's a slant rhyme doesn't change the fact that it's a single-syllable rhyme. I could say "Rap pack bat fat slap hat that traps rats" and it would still be a single-syllable rhyme. According to your logic that would be a 4-5 syllable rhyme

It's fine. I deal with people like him all the time, people that think they understand how rhymes work but really don't.

The syllables don't have to be part of the same word for them to constitute a multisyllabic rhyme. I've already explained that the rhyming syllable isn't "a", they are "at" and "ack". Of course the "a" rhymes as well, but that doesn't negate the multisyllabic rhyme that's occuring.

No, that's a list of slant rhymes that don't occur in any patternized way.

    Okay then:

When I rap I make stacks
I got a bat in my lap in case somebody needs a thrash
You'll get capped in your back if you think you're all that

Obviously the bars aren't very good, but it's a single-syllabe rhyme scheme. Unless you're trying to tell me that this is a 5-syllable rhyme scheme (ap, ack, at, ash, apped)

We're not talking about your rhymes lol. We're talking about the ones I posted.

    Hat Back
    Gat Clack

"at" and "ack" are different syllables. It's as simple as that.

    Take this tweak on it:

    Hit Back
    s--- Clack

Here, you would acknowledge the difference between the syllables "it" and "ack", the only difference is that those different syllables don't share an "a" as they did before.

When I said "a" I was talking about the "ah" sound. "at" and "ack" have the same sound, and rhyme together, therefore it's a single-syllable rhyme scheme, it just has 4 different rhymes. For example, "backpack" and "lab rat" is still a single-syllable rhyme since lab, rat, back, and pack all rhyme with each other

Depends on who you ask. Assonance is "rap" and "bat", where traditional rhyme would be "hat" and "cat". In my opinion, assonance is a type of rhyme, since it's used so much in hip-hop to constitute a traditional rhyme that it can be considered rhyme in a different sense.

DOOM is good, he used to be my GOAT, but after he got renegaded by Kool G Rap he lost the top spot IMO. My top 10 atm:
    1. Yasiin Bey
    2. Kool G Rap
    3. MF DOOM
    4. Rakim
    5. Black Thought
    6. Andre 3000
    7. Pharoahe Monch
    8. JAY-Z
    9. Nas
    10. The Notorious B.I.G.
The top 5 are all very close though. If you look at the best performances in terms of rhyming in hip-hop history, you have Yasiin Bey on Black Star, Kool G Rap on Roots Of Evil, MF DOOM on Madvillainy, Rakim on The 18th Letter, and Black Thought on every Roots album. These albums display the absolute peak of my favourite rappers. Nobody can rhyme like they did on these albums. Andre 3000 on Aquemini, Pharoahe Monch on Stress: The Extinction Agenda, Nas on Illmatic, and Hov on Reasonable Doubt come close, but nothing can touch what these guys did.

@Gurj also do the syllables matter in terms of the number syllables in the phrase or word
like should both phrases or match in terms of the number of syllables in it

Not a bad list overall, but if this is in terms of rhyming it's way off
