    I'd say his best skill is his production... But also his consistency. Not the consistency with his sound, but the quality of his albums. He continuously puts out incredible music.

    The end product of his songs are what makes Kanye West a great artist. He's never shy to collaborate on all aspects of a song, from composition, features, lyrics, etc. He's gifted at blending other people's artistry with his own to create really good music.

    I can understand where you're coming from, but a few rebuttals:

    -I can understand how the fashion thing would get annoying, but once again minor personality quirks=/=terrible person

    -hes already said with the no smiling thing that he just does it because people in the 1800s and s--- would never smile in their photos, and he liked how it looked so he did it, and then once he found out people hated it, he said "not smiling makes me smile" meaning the fact that people getting their panties in a twist over whether a rapper smiles in his own photos is hilarious

    -once again, this is because he's his own biggest fan. Cocky, for sure, but if someone like, say, John Lennon had compared himself to, say, Stevie Wonder, would you be mad?

    Again, I feel like almost all the hate for Yeezy stems from the media telling us to hate him and trying to give us fuel for the fire

    sure, in your opinion. in my opinion, he still makes enjoyable (while not as enjoyable or good as his pre-2004 work) music. like, nobody is required to like something.

    I love MBDTF, college dropout, late registration, etc. but I don't really like Yeezus. just not in my taste. but that doesn't mean Kanye is a garbage rapper.

    If what made a rapper good was how well they rhymed than MMLP2 would have been considered a classic. There is more to good music than just ability to rhyme words

    It's also clear to any rational adult that technically rapping well doesn't automatically = good music

    Kanyes last three projects are light years ahead of Ems

    el-p is a VERY technically sound rapper, probably as good as modern Em, but he's also a great producer and makes amazing music
