Nov 3, 2016 I wasn't part of the hype online, so I have no clue how the world initially reacted to it. But boy would I love to have been. How pumped we're you? How did you react to Just Lose It? What'd you think of the album at first? How long until you realised it wasn't all that great?
Nov 3, 2016 Discovered Em 2011, loved Encore as much as TES until I joined forum 2015, ppl keep shi--ing on it, but the reals know it's well crafted. just if they understood the humor and silliness
Nov 3, 2016 Watched the music video on MTV my sophomore year of high school. Paris Hilton was in the video, which was kinda big at the time. The 8 mile reference was the only thing I loved about the song. They really pushed the "AHHHYAHHHYAHHHHHHHHYAH" thing. Asking audience members how they "just lose it", hoping they'd scream like Eminem. It was awkward. Interviewers really blew the Michael Jackson reference out of proportion, hoping Eminem actually had a deeper introspective meaning by saying he's just psycho. Really it was another cheap stab at the next celebrity. You could tell Eminem was insanely drugged up and didn't really care anymore. I was one incredibly disappointed 14 year old.
Nov 3, 2016 I remember before the song was released there was a video clip of him filming the music video, and all it showed was the third verse "this is the part where the rap breaks down it gets real intense no one makes a sound".....and everyone online thought it was going to be an amazing, serious song. I don't think the reaction was too positive when the song was released, but people weren't saying the song was terrible or anything. When Encore leaked people thought it was a fake album that he purposely leaked to throw people off. Everyone online was saying "you really think Eminem would put songs like Big Weenie and a--- Like That on an album?" I was only 14, but I know I was pretty disappointed. I mean his previous release was the 8 Mile Soundtrack, so it was a huge drop off.
Nov 3, 2016 I was like 12 and freaking the f--- out when I heard it first. Super Sayian Stan mode in its prime.
Nov 3, 2016 I wasn't disappointed with Just Lose It either. It was on my burnt CD rotation for months. However, the release of the a--- Like That music video was the first time I remember saying "WTF Eminem?" That was the first time I questioned Eminem, Shady Records, and their approach, and I was only 14. MTV still blew the video up like it was Eminem's next big hit. Dark times.
Nov 3, 2016 I was really excited. I came home and immediately put it in my CD player and went to my living room to listen to it. I was a little disappointed but the great tracks outweighed the bad ones for me at the time! I loved Just Lose It. I remember watching it for the first time on MTV.
Nov 3, 2016 I'm shocked NO ONE told him a--- Like That was a bad idea... if an up coming rapper released a--- Like That as their first single, they wouldnt HAVE a career anymore lol
Nov 3, 2016 I really love it, so much actually .... yes he's not dropping fire lyrics and killing every syllable with 54 entedres. it's enjoyable as f---, I wish 2016 Em drops something similar, in catchiness at least
