Oct 28, 2015 Back on subject the worse thing was definitely the accent. It stood out like a hooker in a church. The beats i thought were great but was very disappointed first few listens. The cd did grow on me in time but def not the accents.
Oct 28, 2015 That transition from Hello to Tonya to Sam Song And Dance was always a little thing I loved. Back in the day, I was a giant Stan and loved it. Now that I've listened to more artists, I can't finish the album. Old Times Sake is terrible.
Oct 28, 2015 everyone liked it on RB at first until a couple weeks passed and it sunk in how bad it was
Oct 28, 2015 if the subjects were different it would be maybe a classic. The Beats 10/10 Flow 8.5/10 Subject: No comment
Oct 28, 2015 This sounds really good. Wish he rapped normally would've killed that s---. I was like it's f---in' awesome when I first heard the Relapse. But after few listens accents started get into me. Wish he just didn't use them accents. It'd have been a classic.
Oct 28, 2015 I kept repeating Insane, Beautiful and Underground. They were eerie to me. Didn't know what to think of the rest, wasn't impressed at first listen. Now I think Relapse is great.
Oct 28, 2015 13 year old me hella f----- with it, i remember before the album, looking at some of his s--- he was puttin out during the hiatus (like that reup albun & his features) and i was thinking "he's awful now" & that he really fell the f--- off. So even though there were hella accents on relapse, i still thought he sounded WAY better simply because he was sober there, more focused, and i didn't know Dre as a producer much then, but i hella f----- with the beats.
Oct 28, 2015 oh i remember that time. I didn't listen to it completly. Thought 3AM was the best song on this Album
Oct 28, 2015 i wasn't a fan back then but when i first listened to in 2011 this was my reaction most of the time it grew on me like crazy tho. Stay wide awake a masterpiece
Oct 29, 2015 I tried to force myself to like it at first, just because it was the first new Eminem album in five years. I had myself convinced that it was a big improvement over Encore. Six years later I think it's undoubtedly his worst album. It had a handful of great songs like Beautiful, Stay Wide Awake, etc, but no real classics. Even Encore had a few real classic gems on it like Toy Soldiers, Mockingbird, etc. We Made You and Crack A Bottle are still by far the worst singles of his career. Seeing him perform those songs live at the 2009 MTV Awards was the only time I ever felt truly embarrassed to be an Eminem fan. Thank god he learned from the mistakes he made on this album and blessed us with Recovery the following year.
