Oct 9, 2015 What will change, what fads or styles will be left for something else, and will the rappers of this era still be making music or forgotten?
Oct 9, 2015 With how much rap has progressed it will take more than 6 years for it to change a decent amount
Oct 10, 2015 trap muzik will be gone & skinny jeans. A lot of good can come in five years, but then again so can a ton of bad. It depends on who falls off and who breaks through.
Oct 10, 2015 Hmm, I remember 90s was the time rap got real serious and in my opinion, it was the best era. It continued till 2005-6 something. Then ringtone rappers got a real boost in 2007. I honestly don't know what to call this era though, prolly cause I don't listen to a lotta new rappers these days. Although in 5 years, it might get real commercialized and huh, how do I say this, "soft" maybe?
Oct 10, 2015 He has the most crossover appeal of any rapper at the moment. Have you heard his track with jamie xx He has one of the unique voices in music, period. And at 23 he's already responsible for hundreds of various, unique, melodies. It's actually staggering. So if he only continues to get better, and focuses on being more accessible, he's not going anywhere.
Oct 10, 2015 Yeah idk i dont think skinny jeans will die anytime soon. But i do agree on trap diminishing, it is just a trend, much like crunk was in the early to mid 2000s. Its pretty much been dominating the rap scene for about 5 years now, so its lasted longer than previous trends like the jiggy era, crunk era, ringtone rap era, but, nothing lasts forever. I can bet that itll be gone in 5 or 6 years.
Oct 10, 2015 Not to mention he's actively changing and expanding how people express themselves in hip hop. He will have a lasting impact, even if he himself isn't big in 5 years
Oct 10, 2015 More experimentation will be embraced in the mainstream hopefully, we're already kinda seeing it.
