Oct 1, 2016 serious question though, how have you calculated it as a 9.15 what kind of criteria are you using which enables 2 decimal places
Oct 1, 2016 Fair enough yeah time always weeds out the greats from the fakes. --- seems to be the consensus #1 which I agree with, OLD had some all time great Danny Brown Songs Float On might even be #1 but I have problems with B side up until Kush Coma. Not awful songs but they definitely water down the nearly perfect Side A
Oct 1, 2016 I'm between a 9.1 and a 9.2 right now so I did the median. Buttt for most albums the way I like to do it so it gets me more interested is First listen nothing to serious simply listen Second listen now that I have a basic idea of what's going on try and focus on how the album flows where it lags what high points I'm hearing what direction the artist went with the album any constant themes etc Third listen focus solely on production Fourth listen follow along with lyrics By then I usually know how I feel confidently for some albums like The Life of Pablo it took a few more in which I listen again however many times just like I do the first listen. By this point its sorta weird but I can like feel a score Idk... I sorta just translate my feelings on the album into a numerical score quite easily but for kicks I'll rate each song individually (0.1-10.0) add them all up then divide by track total Then ill take that number and tweak a few points in either direction based on the standards i have for the artist / how cohesive the album was and in the case of rap was he just caried by the features Normally nothing serious though will Adjust between .1-.3
