Don't know if I'd call it a hobby but I love gadgets and tech. Currently toying up the idea of getting the new Pixel 4 but battery life is a big deal for me.

I dream one day of having a proper home cinema system. But by proper, I mean lottery win kinda money. So I enjoy teaching myself all the AV side of it and reading reviews of speakers and AV receivers.

Oh, and most importantly; drinking and brewing beer.

Still going to work as usual, so it hasn't changed a huge amount for me. Getting exercise most days, playing plenty of video games, reading books, watching premium movies streaming sites, making the occasional chess move etc.

    Additional question to this topic:

Has anyone found any new hobbies during this lockdown? I know a lot of people have taken up baking/cooking that I know of now that they have the time.

Personally, time isn't on my side but I have been able to spend more time playing video games. Prior to lock down I just wouldn't have enough consistent time to get into a 40+ hour story. Now I have 2/3hrs every evening so I can actually continue the momentum. Recently completed FF7r and Assassin's Creed Syndicate and am about 20% into the Spiderman game. All really, really good games. I much prefer story based, RPGs or Action/Adventure games. Driving games for a bit of mindless fun sometimes as well. Not into FPS of that kinda thing.

Was going nuts with no gym open and doing at home workouts wasn't the same so I bought a road bike. Haven't ridden a bike in years and have been going out several times a week to get some exercise and fresh air. Also drinking more on the weekends if that counts as a hobby

Absolutely it does! I couldn't think of a better hobby than drinking tbh. What's your poison?

I bought a bike just before the lockdown, had the back wheel and brake stolen 2 weeks later so put it into a shop overnight to be fixed. That night was the night of the lockdown so it got stuck there for about 3 weeks. Finally got it back and then it was stolen 2 weeks later. FML.

Picked up a new bike today though. I'm suffering with losing 20% of my income so I'm going to be a Deliveroo rider from tomorrow.

Beer and whiskey although I've been drinking white claws lately

I guess everyone here had the same idea about getting a bike because I had to drive 45 minutes out of the way to buy one and vehicle traffic switched to bike traffic everywhere you go now

Yeah I'm thinking about getting a bike too. Haven't owned one since I was a teenager and I'm getting bored of doing the same few loops around my neighborhood so that would really open things up.

Oh one new thing I have discovered is the game backstabbr, it's based on the boardgame Diplomacy if you've ever played that. It works really well as an online game to play casually even between timezones because you can just set it so everyone has 24 hours to complete their turn.

I brewed beer with my roommates once. Tried to brew a brown ale and it ended up tasting like Newcastle if Newcastle was OE 800 lol.

I've actually been not drinking at all really during QT and it's been nice. I didn't drink a drop of alcohol the first two months and I drank I think three beers total in may.

Ya tbh I’ve deffff cut down on the beer, homebrew aside. We bought one or two things at a brewery when we recently went to West Virginia. Otherwise just water. Maybe one soda.

Yeah I've been thinking about suggesting that for a minute. I'm in the midst of two different games rn so I'd be down to start one when one of those finish (more than two games at once is too much for me) or yall can get one started without me and I'll get in the next round.

Same here man, the o my thing you can buy from bike stores are £1000+ electric bikes. Crazy. Luckily my sister's husband had a bike he doesn't use so he's given me that. Hope that doesn't get stolen as well!

What are white claws? Never heard of that. What beer do you drink? You get so much more choice of beer in the states than we do here.
