    I just bought a skateboard today. I used to skate growing up until I was about 15. Got pretty good at it but life happened and i just moved on from it. However the passion has always stuck with me though.

    Not sure why I didn't make the move sooner because i've been contemplating this s--- for the past 5-6 years. But i'm going to be 29 in 2 months and after watching some SLS skate videos on youtube the light switched in my head. It's now or never.

    So i went out today and bought something I couldn't afford as a teenager. Bought a Zero deck, Independent stage 11 trucks, Bones Super Red bearings... The whole thing cost me $275 lol.

    Needless to say I totally s--- at it now. Even pushing and balancing on the board was a challenge.. But i still managed to land an ollie on the 2nd try.

    Probably gonna hit the skatepark some time this week.

    Never too old bro. I know people who started skating in their 40s and love it.

    I was heavy into skating when i was younger. Used to mainly ride old-school fishs in the bowl. Surfing is my number 1 passion though so I kind of gave up because last thing I want is to not be able to surf when I'm old because of injuries from other sports.

    I still got a "surf skate" which is a skateboard designed for carving like on a surfboard. Really good for improving your surfing on land. I just stay away from skate parks.

    I couldn't wait so I hit the skatepark yesterday after work. Spent an hour and a half trying to land a heelflip. Skateboarding can be a h--- of an exercise when you out of shape. Legs are sore today but it was 100% worth it.

    Agreed. It's not too late even at 40. You just have to accept that you won't be able to do what some of these guys do in skate videos. Most of them started at 6 years old and never stopped.

    Since you were vert skating I think that isn't as bad on your body as you get older as street skating. Just take Tony Hawk or Steve Caballero for example these guys are still at it well into their 40s-50s.

    Tony Hawk even landed a 900 at 48 lol.



    Never heard of surf skating. Will check that out. It's nice to see skating in general is still popular these days even as people grow older.

    Traveling is one of them. Such a pity it's not possible to travel as freely as before. I'm looking at this Safari tour and can't wait till the pandemic is over.

    I always hated this question because it reminds me I do virtually nothing when I'm alone. I just perform some business tasks together with the guys from https://thewordpoint.com/languages/swiss-german-translation-services .. or just watch TV shows, youtube videos and browse the internet / play games on my phone.

    Toy voyaging is an old one and newest hobby of mine is watercolor painting. I took a course from skillcourses https://www.skillcourses.com/best-online-watercolor-classes/ and now consider myself kinda good in this.
