Every single one of his albums is overrated. He's honestly never released a classic album. Not even close

It sounds mediocre & non-replayable cause it’s outdated by today’s standards.

I personally think that Eminem as an artist can be overrated but I don’t believe that his albums are

SSLP - TES were highly rated for good reasons

Encore was mainly badly rated for good reasons

Relapse was quite divided for good reasons

Recovery was well received in the mainstream so from a hip hop perspective maybe it is for that reason alone

MMLP2 was also split for good reasons

MMLP. It's widely regarded as his best album but, aside from "Stan," the whole vibe is anger. It's still a classic, but TES shows us more sides of Marshall as well as growth and maturity (which began regressing with Encore).

It's laughable for any1 to defend Relapse. n----s really used the argument "Well he did say the song was going to be about him getting r---d by his dad". As if that makes it any better. U n----s are the worst stans :lmaooo:

In terms of rap classics, I always felt MMLP was a classic because he blended slick, technical, and catchy lyrics/flow with pop culture and had so much f---ing anger. And it shifted the entire hip hop culture where he pretty much dominated until his hiatus. This dominance is why Benzino used the source magazine (which was the Bible of rap until this point) to attack eminem. MMLP was the catalyst to this dominance.

But that's the only album I'd say is a classic in terms of the entire genre. TES didn't impact the genre as much as MMLP did. So that's why I think it's a classic.

True but the entire album just gets old real quick. My Name Is, My Fault, Still Don't Give A f---, Bad Meets Evil and a handful more tracks is fun at first but then you grow out of it after a couple of listens. 97 Bonnie and Clyde land Guilty Conscience are the only tracks that I still bump to this day but other than that sslp just isn't that memorable

Agree with you, I was listening to SSLP earlier today & I couldn't listen to one track I had to skip and skip until I found a good track to enjoy, got boring real quick & just switch the cd.

Yea man like the LP is good but it just doesn't hold compared to MMLP or EMS cus at least those albums had a theme from song to song. SS was just all over the place but still good tho
