    I don't mean like backpacker fa----s into Immortal Technique or f---in Tech N9ne, I just mean if you had to show someone your idea of real hip hop what would it be?

    Imo, Gangstarr has always been my idea of "real" hip hop. What would you show someone if you had to show em your idea of "real" hip hop

    Nothing tbh. I love rappers who talk about "real" stuff (disgust me to say this) but can also enjoy bs rap, bangers.

    No definitive answer really. Hip Hop was orginated over children and teens entertaining each other by rapping and dancing and having fun. Didn't get political until the late 80s/Early 90s.

    I'd have to say Biggie Smalls though. Legend in my book. Lyrics, subject matter, wordplay, you name it. Could slow jam to One More Chance or Big Papa, turn up to Party & bs or Hypnotize, or reflect about life with Juicy or Sky Is The Limit
