    Narsh was relentlessly s--- on for half a decade before he left. He never tagged help 7 times because someone made an alt of him or incessantly complained about how he's not respected or appreciated and threatened to leave because of it.     Its weird that (in the conventional sense) South Africa there are 2 rights - black and white. The left is pretty much just white at this point. And the centrists - mostly black - are in power now (although also pretty useless tbh). I have no idea where I fall in SA - nobody feels like viable leaders. but in the UK I'm definitely leaning more towards the left

    Yeah but I mean it was between him and Corzine so there are no winners in that one. His handling of Hurricane Sandy was great and then he just became the worlds biggest (literally) piece of s---. Basically abandoned NJ near the end to try and get a presidential bid going

    You’re conflating centrist with moderate here. They aren’t the same thing. A moderate Democrat isn’t a centrist. I’ll reiterate, a vast majority of Americans are not ideological. They like to *think* they are but they’re not. This is backed by decades of research in political psychology. Americans are partisans, they largely vote based on partisanship. There are some, tiny portion of the electorate, that like to claim to be centrist because they vote both ways. Those people deserve to be shamed. Pick a party that best represents your views & vote.

    it absolutely is. People who call themselves centrists fall into one of two camps 1) they don’t really pay attention to politics & naturally want to align themselves with the middle (even if they don’t actually vote that way) 2) snobby intellectuals who want to seem superior by maintaining this image of fairness, open to all ideas etc. Shame them, force them to pick a party & be done with it.

    i agree. truth be told its not like i am groupchatting him pages from my diary irl lol. hes just a lightning rod, a punchline here. but i agree we can be active and thrive without him.

    for awhile, felt like the forums misfortunes were tied to him leaving. but as long as you and @Rick James and @the kid on mars are driving discussion, ill refrain from wishing n*rsh still loved us

    U.K. is an interesting country because similar to the U.S., they’ve had a surge of far-right authoritarian esque politics become popular in recent years. Tbh I still think the median U.K. voter is probably notably to the left than the median U.S. voter. I actually just saw this today:
