Its southern slang, New Orleans or Memphis maybe, not Toronto. Toronto slang would be boys, bredrin, mi youth (silent h), etc. He is bringing the south to the north, as he himself is a fusion of the two.

    According to Rap Genius ...
"As for the Woes, it’s not in reference to any problems.
It’s an abbreviation for “Whoadie” meaning people close to Drake, his boys, his OVO Crew."

'Woes' actually gave the track a deeper meaning to it, if he was just referring to his boys then that ruins it a little tbh.

Woes meaning his crew is dumb as h--- tbh. And if it means his n----s "working on excellence" it only adds to the cringeiness

It means his f---ing past troubles you fuckwits .. he's running with his troubles/demons because that s--- don't leave.

Anything else that is not this ^ is f---ing wrong.

It's really that plain and simple. It's kinda sad there are people that don't know what woes are and had to start digging deep into the lyrics trying to decode this grand mystery.

Edit: TheFader.com should just shut themselves down for actually making a page about this. Wow.
