Sep 14, 2020 Same here, I stanned him in high school and was just as excited for his career trajectory as I was for Max B. Dude was dropping mixtape after mixtape, but I started picking up the signs of instability around Well Isn't This Awkward, then the J Dilla incident happened and he got punched in the f---ing face by some chick on camera lol. Happy for his resurgence tho, I'll always support the dude
Sep 14, 2020 So many choices. Depends if you mean waste, as in they had it and threw it away by their own choices, or waste, as in they had it but died, were murdered, arrested etc.. Anyways: Amy Winehouse Mac Miller DMX Dave Chappelle Katt Williams Kanye West Kid Cudi EDIT - just realised you actually said squandered by making gobbledygook’ lmaooo Sorry for offending those mentioned who died.
Sep 14, 2020 Unfulfilled potential to a point, but he's been back on track for the past few projects. Shoutout Jai Paul. Should've been a household name for the past decade but instead had his debut leaked and now he's just an enigma
Sep 14, 2020 Kendrick- he could be good but decided to go the woke route. Dr. Dre Andre 3000 Kanye Nas Tupac cuz he died Pink Pusha T Twix
Sep 14, 2020 dude had the comeback album a few years ago, but nobody listened to it but me apparently he f----- up his republic deal too. at least he’s doing some of his best music in years rn
Sep 14, 2020 was on empire too, that was supposed to be his year, and somehow he f----- it up and fell right back into obscurity
Sep 14, 2020 Have you heard the songs he’s been putting out? He sounds like a whole different person, a carti clone. He’s lost his originality. I agree label politics aren’t helping but he’s not absolved of blame
Sep 14, 2020 i agree but the songs he’s been putting out are not the album, which sounds as you’d hope it’d sound
Sep 15, 2020 Agreed I meant more because he took that extended break where some of his best work he was playing at shows was never released
